Release Day Blitz - Free At Last Complete Box Set by Annie Stone

Mackenzie Hall loves Carter Tillmann. Carter loves Mac. When she meets Hunter, she isn’t so sure anymore, who owns her heart. Her head wants stability and safety, but her heart might not be on board with that.

Hunter can’t live with the uncertainty and follows his own dreams, but those aren’t only life-changing for him. When he leaves, Mackenzie understands that her heart is stronger than her head. But now it’s too late, Hunter is gone. Will they find each other again?

***
This box set includes
1.a fighting chance
2.a losing battle
3.a saving grace

The three of us avoid each other until Carter gets back. The boys go hang out with their friends or whatever—I don’t really know, because I work. And work. I’ve always been a bit of a workaholic since I can’t leave if there’s someone there who needs help. But these days, work’s turning into an obsession.
“Go home, Mac,” Shane says the day before Carter’s scheduled to come home.
I look at my watch. It’s almost eleven. “Oh, yeah. I lost track of time.” Slowly, I sort through the documents in front of me.
“What’s up?” Shane asks gently.
“What do you mean?” It’s always good to answer a question with another question, right? Sign of a quick wit, surely.
He smiles faintly and sits on the other side of my desk. Interlocking his fingers behind his head, he stretches out his legs. He looks laid-back, like he’s really comfortable. Here in my office. Here with me.
“Kid, I remember the day you walked in here for the first time. You were this timid little thing, but really angry! Incredibly angry. You stomped around here in your Chucks, not wanting anyone to tell you what to do.” He grins like he’s reveling in the memory. “You thought you started to heal when you found us. But you had this fire in you. You’ve always had it. Flames were shooting up ten feet in the air above your head. All we did was show you how to harness your power. You did all the rest yourself. Then and now.”
I sit back in my chair and stare at him.
“It was fun to watch you turn from an angry firecracker into the woman you are today. At least, the woman you were until about a week ago. Because the Mac I see today has lost her luster. It’s like you’re hiding it on purpose, like you’re standing in the shade because you’re afraid to step out into the sun.”
“I didn’t know you were such a poet, Shane,” I joke, because I don’t know what else to say. Obviously, he’s right.
He just grins. “Mock me all you want, kid. We both know something happened. You don’t have to tell me what it is. You don’t even have to acknowledge it yourself. But please make sure all your hard work was worth it.” He gets up and comes to my side of the desk to kiss me on the head. “Night, kiddo.”
I watch him go.
He’s right. I can’t let them control me like this. Not now, not ever again. I take a deep breath and hope my old strength, my old fire, will miraculously start burning again.
But when I get home, I’m happy the house is quiet. Because I’m still such a coward.

My review of Maniac Monday by Piper Rayne

Victoria Clarke is a single mom with a seven year old daughter named Jade. She recently divorced Pete and moved to help out her mom who suffers from MS. She has sworn off all men but particularly lawyers!

Reed Warner was the best man in Victoria's wedding to Pete and a lawyer. Victoria is shocked to see him at school drop off and isn't too sure if he will remember her or not but he has never forgotten her.

Soon Reed is trying to break down Victoria's walls and wants to earn her trust so she will give him a chance and judge him based on his own merits and not her ex-husband. But when Victoria's past comes back will she be able to figure out what she needs or wants?

I really liked this story and I thought Victoria was completely awesome! I loved that she focused on what was most important in her life - her, her mom and of course Jade. She got out of a toxic relationship and started a new life and job with great people around her.

I was definitely curious to learn more about Reed as it started off so mysteriously. He was such an amazing character who really gave back instead of focusing on the money. I liked him right from the beginning and I liked how he was showing Victoria that he was a great guy.

There was some definite tension in certain parts and a few characters that I did not care for - Darcie and Pete! That being said they were written so well!!

The ending had me worried but I crossed my fingers that Reed would do the right thing!!

Such a great story and I look forward to more in this series!!

PRManicMondayBookCover5x8_MEDIUMManic Monday, an all-new hilarious and romantic standalone from Piper Rayne, is LIVE!

The perfect man for me is a blood-sucking lawyer. #pfftwhatever

Been there.

Done that.

Burned the T-shirt.

I didn’t swear off all men after my divorce, but I sure as hell swore off anyone remotely like my ex. On the top of that list? Attorneys. Everyone knows they can’t be trusted.

Now that I’m back in Chicago, my focus is my daughter, my mom and me. I haven’t given up on finding my happily-ever-after, it’s just on hold—indefinitely.

Then I see Reed Warner again, and he weasels his way into every part of my life, not willing to take no for an answer.

In spite of my better judgment I can’t stop thinking about the way his designer suits fit his muscular frame, or the way his blue eyes seem to eat me up with every glance.

You know when you’re on a diet and even hummus seems irresistible? Reed is like the equivalent of chocolate éclair and my willpower is fading fast.

The problem? Not only is he a lawyer…

He was the best man at my wedding.

Excerpt

My phone rings just as I step onto the train. “Hello?” “Victoria.” Darcie barks my name like she’s the head nun at a Catholic high school and I’m showing cleavage. “How did you get this number?” “I have my connections,” she says, and I already know from her tone that she’s about to ruin my day. “What’s up, Darcie?” I try to hide the irritation from my voice, but I’m not sure I’m entirely successful. “I just found you a partner to help with the carnival event.” I blow out a breath and find a seat in the back of the train. “I don’t need a partner.” “Well, he would only help out if it meant that he could work with you.” A million swear words set off like a round of fireworks in my head. “You’re kidding me?” She laughs. “I wish I was.” I detect a bite of jealousy in her tone. “If I was single…anyway, he requested you and we so rarely get fathers or father figures so in this case, I have to let him have what he wants. And for some reason, that’s you.” I watch the city skyline getting closer out the window. “Who is he to Henry?” I ask. She laughs and then I hear chatter behind her. I wish I was in front of her, so I could shake her shoulders and get her to focus on me. “Oh, you’ll find out.” “Henry’s mom’s boyfriend?” I ask. “Nope. Ask for yourself. Gotta go. Oh, and I’m sending him your phone number right now.” Click. The line dies. Mother fucking hell. Am I trapped in some Mean Girls reunion movie? I haven’t even tucked my phone back into my purse before it dings with a text. I’d ignore it if I wasn’t worried that it could be my mom needing me. Unknown: Hey, it’s Reed. The stunning guy you just reacquainted yourself with twenty minutes ago. How about a nightcap tonight to start brainstorming ideas for the carnival? I add his contact information into my phone, so I don’t mistakenly answer again. Me: Don’t you have a son to watch at night? Reed: Nope. Me: I don’t think your girlfriend would appreciate your invite. We can talk details over a morning coffee and that’s it. Reed: ??? Reed: Not even dinner? I don’t respond. Reed: Lunch? Even business associates have lunch together. I shake my head and try to tamp down my temper. Reed: Fine. But mornings are hard for me. I’m being difficult for the sake of being difficult now. I can’t very well ask Hannah to come in late to plan some stupid carnival booth anyway. Me: Saturday? Reed: J J J J J My place. The three dots appear but I respond before he can. Me: McDonald’s on Peterson. The kids can play, and we’ll talk. Noon. Reed: You run a hard bargain and I make a lot of deals. What the hell does that mean? Reed: I take it that’s the end of our conversation? I don’t reply because there’s nothing else to say. Reed: Message received. Have a great day, Victoria. J I tuck my phone back into my purse with a giddy feeling inside. Damn it. I wish my stomach would get the message my brain is trying to send it. ManicMonday-AN

My review of Tangled Ends by Taylor Dawn

Kat McCormick is a hacker who unknowingly works for human and drug trafficker Alastair Bordeaux. When she stumbles upon some secret information she knows that her life is in danger as there is someone out there who needs her dead.

Liam McDermott works for the DEA and arrests Kat but when they are shot at he knows he needs to protect her at all costs as she has information that could bring down an entire organization.

But Liam doesn’t expect to feel such an attraction to Kat and he finds himself crossing the boundaries of what is and isn’t professional. Will this put Kat in more danger and when they starting get closer to the truth will he be able to save her?

This is a great forbidden romance with a DEA agent falling for a “criminal” in his care.

I really liked Liam but I was surprised at how intense his relationship with Kat was so fast. It went from 0 to 100 so fast and then he found that he just could not stay away no matter how much it jeopardized his job. He kept trying to trust Kat but she kept trying to escape and I was frustrated that he kept believing in her when she was putting him in danger with her actions.

Kat was much harder to figure out in my opinion. In one sense I liked that she was a super smart woman but I hated that she was working for a human and drug trafficker and if she was that smart you would have thought she would have looked more into future employers. I understood why she decided to run once she figured out who else was involved but I was very disappointed she got involved with such a bad guy to begin with. I was also mad that she kept trying to escape as it never went well and she always ended up getting shot at and putting more people’s lives in danger.

The chemistry between the two was super hot but frustrating with Kat leaving all of the time.

I liked when things began to get revealed about Kat and who was all involved. Some of that totally surprised me and I was shocked that Kat was to be killed for what she knew.

I definitely was not expecting some of the twists with Kat and Liam! The end was good and shocking for what was revealed there too!

The long-awaited conclusion to the series that brought you NUDES (“passionate, emotional, and uplifting!” - #1 NY Times Bestseller Lauren Blakely) and BARE (“heartfelt and sexy!” – USA Today Bestselling Author Kate Meader), a young singer with stars in her eyes falls for a composer whose sordid background might strip them bare.

Grant Mercer is on the run from his secrets…
This was supposed to be an easy assignment—travel halfway across the globe and compose the musical score for an upcoming Hollywood movie by one of the biggest production companies in Los Angeles. One and done like dozens of times before. I wasn’t supposed to have my entire life crumble around me the moment my plane took off. I wasn’t supposed to meet her.

Intriguing and covered in ink, Simone enters my life like a storm, leaving only heartbreak in her wake. I should keep my distance. Hell, she should keep hers. Instead, we did the exact opposite.

Simone Reynolds is mending a broken heart…
Just months after finaling in one of television’s most watched singing competitions, I should be riding the high of my life. I should be celebrating starring in a musical film predicted to rock the box office. It’s hard to bask in my success when my family is suffering a loss we never saw coming. And then there’s Grant—brooding and rugged and an absolute pain in my ass as he messes with my movie.

He’s as broken as I am, but the perfect harmony is only a leap of faith away.

My review of Her CEOs: A Reverse Harem Office Romance by Mila Crawford

Sophia is a secretary to three very attractive men, each different from the other.

Grayson, Deacon and Mark all have feelings for Sophia and have remained celibate since figuring out that they want her for themselves.

But when the men finally make their moves will Sophia stay or run?

This book was a hot and quick read!

Sophia was great and I loved how she liked different things about each of the guys and how they all differed from each other.

All of the men wanted Sophia and I was somewhat curious to know if they shared women before or if Sophia was the only one as they wanted her for a long time. They all seemed to share her very well together!

The epilogue totally shocked me and I know what Sophia's full time job is now!

Release Day Blitz - Her CEO’s (A Reverse Harem Office Romance) by Mila Crawford

The three of us wanted her, had for years. But good intentions and professionalism kept us in check. She was our secretary but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t be ours.

We’d been celibate for years because Sophia was the one.

The one we wanted in our lives.
The one who put all other women to shame.
The one woman we’d gladly share.

It was time we showed her that in all reality … she was in charge.

Warning: Loosen those ties and hold the calls, because this office romance features one lucky lady and three very devoted men. If you like celibate heroes who only want one woman, a definite SAFE read, and packed full of dirty goodness, this is the story for you.

I watched as she moved around my living room. The floor to ceiling windows showed an incredible view of the city from my penthouse apartment. Grayson and Deacon weren’t here yet, which gave me ample time to appreciate the view of Sophia.
She was currently standing in front of a painting, onethat was abstract, colors and emotion splattered across the canvas. It was from a relatively new artist, unknown to most, but spectacular. As soon as I’d seen it I’d wanted it, just like it had gone down when I’d seen Sophia.
I stepped behind her, feeling like a bastard over the fact I’d given her the ruse of needing her here tonight to take dictation for us. But I knew she hadn’t bought that for one moment. I knew she’d looked at my eyes, heard the need in my voice, felt my desire in my touch. Sophia was a smart woman. Deacon had already made his move, and Grayson wasn’t far behind.
We saw the way she watched us. It was with the same intensity as we watched her. I lowered my gaze to the curve of her neck. She’d put her hair back up in a messy bun, wisps falling along her temples and nape.
I pushed those strands away and leaned in, inhaling deeply, smelling the floral scent that was all her. I could see goosebumps forming on her skin, and I found myself leaning in and running my lips along her flesh.
“This is insane,” she whispered.
“What is?” I asked, my mouth still on her neck.
“This. All of this. Everything.” Her voice was soft, nervous. She turned around, her eyes wide as she stared at me. “I feel like I’m in a race, my car going from zero to sixty in a second. I might have whiplash.”
I chuckled. I couldn’t deny we’d pounced on her like ravenous wolves.
“It’s insta-everything to the max,” she said in that soft voice once more.
“Is that bad?” I lifted my hand and ran my thumb along her cheek.
“It’s just confusing.” She was breathing harder, faster. “You never even acted like you wanted more. None of you did.” She swallowed, her throat working.
“Surely you saw the way we looked at you, watched you?”
She licked her lips and I was riveted to the spot. “Yes, but I thought maybe it was just my imagination.”
I grinned.
“And then the kiss, and the touches, and you’re so … close to me.” She swallowed again.
I moved a step closer. She was pressed to the wall, her back to the picture now. “Do you want me to stop? We could go over dictation if you want.”
“I thought that’s why you wanted me here,” she whispered, but I could tell she was smarter than that. I could hear it in her voice that she didn’t want that either.
I pulled her in close to me, my hands wrapped around her tucked-in waist, and buried my face in the crook of her neck. She was soft and warm, perfect and mine.
Ours.
“Let me make you feel good,” I whispered against her throat.
“Yes.” She moaned that lone word out.
I brought her over to the couch, but before I gently set her down I helped her out of her shirt and jeans. Yeah, this was probably going so fucking fast her head was spinning, but I was done waiting to have her. I knew all three of us were. I wanted Sophia like I wanted to breathe. And if she would have said slow down, if she would have said go easy, take your time, I would have in an instant. She was it for me, had been since the moment I saw her walk into our office.
Once she was just in her bra and panties I took a step back and stared at her. She was curves and soft skin, the sweet floral scent of her making me drunk. The mounds of her breasts were pushed up and over the edge of her lacy bra, and my fingers itched to touch her, to run the pads over her skin. And I didn’t stop myself. I did just that. I cupped her breast, the mound heavy, full.
I ended up leaning in and running the tip of my nose along her cleavage. I groaned, my cock jerking, pre-cum starting to make a damp spot on my briefs. I needed out of my jeans, needed to feel her bare body pressed against mine. I growled low, my resistance snapping. I started tearing at my clothing until I was stark naked. Then I looked at her body again, reached down and grabbed my cock, stroking the fucker from root to tip.
“Tell me to stop if this is going too fast.” I stared into her eyes, saw the reality of what she wanted, her need and desire.
“I won’t do that,” she said softly. “I feel like I’ve been waiting for this my entire life.”
I made this sound deep in my throat, one I couldn’t stop even if I wanted to. I had her out of her bra and panties seconds later, had her laying back on the couch, her legs spread. I looked at her parted thighs, her pussy bared of hair, her cream glistening under the dim lights.
“I’m going to fucking devour you, Sophia,” I said as I got down on my haunches. “I’m going to eat you out until you come all over my mouth, until you’re pulling at my hair and screaming my name out.” I had my hands on her inner thighs, keeping her legs open for me. “And when I’m done Grayson and Deacon will have their turn. They’ll show you how much you mean to them, how you’re ours. Only ours.”
“Yes.”
“You want that?” I asked, demanded.
“Yes. God, yes.”
And then I leaned in and ran my tongue through her slit, licking her like she was an ice cream cone melting on a hot summer day. If I weren’t already drunk from the feel, scent, and flavor of her, I would have been so in that very moment as her flavor coated my tongue.
Mila Crawford is a book lover and has been around them one way or another her whole life. She is a fan of happily ever afters, sassy heroines, over the top alphas, and most of all safe reads.
