My review of Renegade by Shannon Myers

Michael Sullivan grew up around the Silent Phoenix Outlaw MC but ended up being a police officer on the right side of the law. But soon he finds himself in a precarious situation of not knowing which side of the law he is really on.

Lauren McGuire is 17 in 2004 when her mom disappears and she is evicted but is saved by her school guidance character.

When Michael and Lauren meet at the wedding of their respective friends sparks fly but they don't see each other again until a year later. But as much as Michael and Lauren have attraction both of them have demons in their closets that could bring them down at any moment.

Can Michael protect Lauren from what he is going through or will his straddling the fence cost him everything?

This book was great and had so many twists and turns that I wasn't sure what was going to happen next.

I liked Michael and knew he was in over his head. I thought his dad, Comedian, the VP of the Silent Phoenix was so cruel to him growing up and really gave him no choice in what happened. He wanted to do good but was stuck with something over his head that made things very difficult.

Lauren grew up in such a difficult environment and her relationship with her mom was key to many events in this book and how she reacted to certain things. She was tough and also scared to get close to anyone.

It was interesting to see the relationship between David and Elizabeth and how that also affected the dynamics between Lauren and Michael. As both went through their relationship issues it caused strain and secrets that could affect everything.

There were so many ups and downs and secrets that the book gripped you and you had to see what happens next!!

Looking forward to the next book after this crazy end!!

4.5 Stars
