My review of So Good by Nicola Rendell

Max Dagle, a master carpenter, has had his eyes on a certain woman for a number of years but when he sees her naked through a skylight while on the roof, he knows he needs to have her. But the problem is that it is not just any girl but his best friend, Rosie Madden.

Rosie Madden is a children's box illustrator and is trying to fix up her grandma's old house to sell it. Yet she finds herself with a failed inspection and a huge list of things that seem out of reach, even with Max's help.

When Max makes his move on Rosie she ends up pushing him away and leaving Max wondering what to do. Yet after Max rescues a little dog he names Cupcake he gives it another try. Will Rosie give Max a shot? When Rosie is offered the job of a lifetime will she take it or will her heart make her stay with Max?

This was a great romance of friends turning into lovers but scared to lose what they have. I loved Max right from the beginning as he was fun and at the same time super caring and he had a huge heart. He knew how much he cared about Rosie and that they were right together but he had to convince her.

Rosie was super scared to risk losing Max and she also had her dreams of becoming an illustrator which could possibly mean moving away. She desperately needed money but at the same time didn't want any handouts. She was strong yet vulnerable and when she makes a huge mistake she knows she has to make it right.

I loved Cupcake and her part in the story of bringing everything together. So cute! I also really liked Fletcher and I super hope that he gets his own book!

I thought the ending was great and I am definitely looking forward to more from this author!
