My review of Keeping Secrets by Lisa Eugene

This book blew me away with the content of it - it's heavy and needs to be addressed in a serious way.

Alexa Kennedy is a 4th year medical student at the top of her class, fighting for the top position against Rhonda. Rhonda is a girl who will do anything to get it, anything. When Alexa is in a car accident in her dad's car on her way to the hospital her world is turned upside down. Plus when her dad learns about the accident what will he do? There is so much pressure on Alexa to be the best.

Dex Blakewell has taken his car out for the night when he is involved in a car accident with Alexa and although he initially thinks she has given him false information he finds himself completely taken with her.

But, Alexa is keeping big secrets from Dex and as the two get closer he begins to discover some of what she has been hiding from him. When Alexa reaches her breaking point will she be able to rely on those closest to her?

Like I said - this book is deep but so encouraging!! I just kept reading and was blown away at well the topics are covered and was so surprised at the end by several revelations. I hope anyone who has any issues with mental help get the help that is out there and comes out on top!

5 Stars
